Comments on "Neil deGrasse Tyson at UB: What NASA Means to America's Future"
This, so much? this. This, so much? this.
That poor kid is ... That poor kid is gonna spend the rest of his life in his parent's? basement crying.
NASA is currently ... NASA is currently in New Zealand testing their? 'Water testing device' in our waters, haha random I know but it has a very detailed analysis about water and its waste contents. NASA is good for the Planet!! End of story
Obama is happy to ... Obama is happy to hand taxpayer dollars over to people to squander in the forms of wellfare programs that by and large promote an irresponsible lifestyle instead of paying for important things like space exploration.? The entire universe is out there for us to reach out and grab, but our politicians would rather by votes to stay in office than buy a future in space for our race.
how much for the? ... how much for the? universe? Tree fiddy!
I would pay a ... I would pay a dollar for every dollar i would pay to get the Universe!?
NASA, and ... NASA, and especially manned missions to deep space, is like the advertising budget for the future dreamers of mankind.
Dreams and desires for the future are the ONLY drivers of real human progress. In the 1960's they were started and fueled by the impetus of fear of the "cold war."
In order to continue, especially in peacetime, they MUST be driven by highly visible? progress in bold exploration.
We ought to drive toward something like the 1950's interstellar Project Orion (look it up).
Annual Budget for ... Annual Budget for NASA = $18Billion a year, cost of F35 JSF = $300Billion...so far.? F35 will cost approx $250 million each.
NASA should copy the Military industrial complex and open research facilities in all 50states, the will be able to get extra funding through pork barrel appropriations.
$3.50
? $3.50
?
When? I think of ... When? I think of University at Buffalo, I think of the sentence "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo." that was used at the university.
But anyways, great video.
I'm sorry, but I ... I'm sorry, but I love? his tie.
So fitting.
I'd say he's the ... I'd say he's the smartest american I know of that's doing important things with his intellect but I'm open? to there being a smarter american out there.
It's like he ... It's like he prepared the whole? speech!
From a german point ... From a german point of view: our technology gets more and more advanced. Currently is a wave? of big fundings in all branches of science and academical education going on. Thats what you get with a physicist as president. (In fact, Angela Merkel has a PhD in Physics)
Germany gladly leads the technological frontier. For all I care, thats wonderful. The questions you, friends from oversea, have to ask yourself: what part shall your country play in the future of this world?
I quite disagree. I ... I quite disagree. I love Neil, just because he's funny and smart, but I don't? think that we gain much from funding NASA, no matter how little that might cost, and I think he really failed to justify it - only say that it's good, regardless of why. I don't feel as if NASA does much, and I'm one of those people saying that we shouldn't be looking up while we have so many issues below. I'm open to a contrary response.
Chills.? Chills.?
It's a logical flaw ... It's a logical flaw to measure the expenditure on NASA based on the percentage of a dollar bill that goes into it from taxes (there may be other things that legitimately take up the rest of the dollar), but I agree more? needs to be spent on NASA, the benefits are too great to short-change the universe.
Would be nice to ... Would be nice to hear a long, deep conversation between Neil and Michio Kaku. Both of them contribute a lot to society by communicating and spreading knowledge to the public. Both are? huge sources of inspiration for me.
Neil Tyson =? The ... Neil Tyson =? The Man
i love NdGT, and ... i love NdGT, and want as many people as possible to hear what he has to say. that said, who designed/dressed the stage? the camera angles make every single shot look as though? it was filmed backstage with all sorts of random props and structures popping up behind the speaker. maybe if the cameraman were further back and able to film the whole thing it wouldn't look as though the event took place in a barn.
Thanks, Neil!? Thanks, Neil!?
Neil deGrasse Tyson ... Neil deGrasse Tyson 2012?
LETTER? 2. Without ... LETTER? 2. Without physicists and scientists we would be living in the stone age in caves hunting bears and other animals with sones and wood sticks.
I hope NASA and other space and physicists and scinetists organisations will get much more money in the future. That will benefit us all.
LETTER 1 (Sorry my ... LETTER 1 (Sorry my english) What I think is maby one of the biggest problems, is that most peoples take things for granted. They buy and use their newest Iphone and computer. They are switching on and off the light bulp and? take it for granted. They don't think about how much work physicist and scientists has done to invent the light bulp. They don't think about those advanced equations and physical laws etc behind those inventions. Peoples have to think more about it.
Reminds? me of ... Reminds? me of October Sky.
i agree. go dream ... i agree. go dream my? friend and make tomorrow happen.
is? this the ... is? this the smartest american?? who wants to debate this..
Is it possible to ... Is it possible to get the full video? somewhere?
WHY THE HECK IS HE ... WHY THE HECK IS HE GOING TO UB? COME TO MY? SCHOOL!!!
Shut up and? take ... Shut up and? take my pennies!
